The OSHA 2012 Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) requires the use of eight Globally Harmonized pictograms for hazardous labels. Under the revised Hazard Communication Standard (HCS), Each pictogram consists of a symbol on a white background framed within a red border and represents a distinct hazard whether the shipment is domestic or international.
